Mazzaro - Table reservation

After a loooong day and a wee bit stressful, we unanimously agreed to dine at Mazzaro's for the sake of convenience, as we were staying at Hyde Park Inn. The restaurant looked a little fancy and very simple but elegant. Which was a complete contrast to our ragged, starving tourist demeanor, I'm sure we displayed. Our server was quick to get us a table as soon as we walked in. He rushed around getting us something to drink then when we were ready, took our order. He then set our table according to our order. Nice. I had the saffron angel hair pasta; it was delicious but VERY oily, a LOT of olive oil when you're near the end. THe garlic bread was possibly the best i've ever had. and the creme brulee was AMAZINGGGGGGG. The mains were costly, mine cost $33 decent serve. my friend got the ravioli 3 pieces of rav for $29....<br/ <br/ but the service was amazing and i would definitely go back for the creme brulee.

Great food superb service. Little known secret tucked away opposite Hyde Park South between the CBD and Haymarket. Modestly priced mains and entrees, great desserts, very obliging staff. I eat there quite regularly, and I'm never disappointed. Worth a visit lunch or dinner.

Mazzaro has a good choice of wines beers and food. Service was friendly and professional. The steaks were all cooked as requested. .
