I used to live coming to McAlister's, but the last couple of years I have been disappointed, so I've been avoiding it. But tonight, hubby really wanted a salad, so I gave in. My MO has become as soon as I get my salad, I dig in to take out all the hard white ribs. Usually makes up half the salad. Not tonight! I found 1 piece! The rest of the salad was beautiful and fresh and crisp and the perfect balance of ingredients. According to the manager, Stephanie was the genius behind my gorgeous Savannah salad. I ordered takeout from this restaurant and noticed a lot of extra charges. For example, adding cheese to my veggie sandwich cost 99 cents. I’m okay with paying extra for what I want, especially since it seemed like the veggie sandwich was just an afterthought. My mom ordered a BLTA, and when we got home and unwrapped our food, I discovered that my sandwich didn’t have any cheese, and my mom’s BLTA was missing the avocado. This was really disappointing! If you're going to charge extra for something, it should definitely be included in the sandwich. Otherwise, it feels like a scam.
I can't rate the atmosphere as I had it delivered, but OMG, this was a great sandwich! I had the New Yorker and it had so much meat in it that I needed 2 hands to hold half a sandwich. I hope this is how it will remain, it is so hard to find a good deli sandwich any more.Dietary restrictions: I had to call to ask for a substitute for mustard, as I am allergic.
McAlister’s is a great place to eat. They serve primarily sandwiches, soup, and salads. You can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu, everything is delicious. They serve sweet tea, which is a rarity on the west coast.Staff is friendly and the food is delivered quickly.

Went for lunch, ordered the Jalapeno Turkey Crunch with potato salad side dish and enjoyed it; potato salad is yellow mustard flavor. Food was well cooked and presentation looked fresh and clean. Enjoyed this place and would visit again.Food: 5/5

This is my first time ordering from here, and all I can say is WOW—it's so good! I will definitely order again. I got the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap and a strawberry-flavored Sprite.
