McCulloch Station Pub

My wife and I went to the Station Pub today around 4pm and waited at the front door beside the 'Please Wait to be Seated ' sign. There was another couple in front of us and all four of us waited. It was obviously the end of the rush as table after table left the pub. Five tables left before the couple in front of us just went to a table but we decided to wait til a server visibly cleaned one and seated us. Bottom line, we were noticed but ignored, we were never seated, and worse was that we were not even acknowledged. Matt is a fantastic and world-class bartender and craftsman. Tons of personality, tons of charisma! He had his health concerns that prompt him to wear his mask and take care of his own personal health. I'm here to contradict the bad review. Visit Matt at McCulloch and sit on the sunny terrace. We arrived at 3:45 a.m. and was told that the kitchen was closed in 5 minutes if it wasn't close to 5 a.m., there was a shield from the front that said on sunny days they were open until 11 a.m. Such a shame, this pub has so much potential, but its opening hours let it down

It's been the last time for years. An employee wouldn't remove his mask so I could read lips as I have a hearing impairment.

They have really good food, friendly staff, and usually an open pool table upstairs (well the 2 times I have been there).
