We were forced to eat at this establishment when we were unable to find anything else open on a French holiday Monday evening. There were so many people converging on this place it was virtually impossible to park. Having abandoned the car some way off we entered and discovered that the only way of ordering food was via a self service touch pad, which to us was totally incomrehensible. Having ordered with great difficulty and engaging someone from behind the counter to help we inadvertently ended up with two burgers each! I don't usually use McDonalds as in the distant and long ago past I was left with a feeling of discomfort, bordering on illness after eating a standard burger. However having said that I have to say that I had quite a good experience at this establishment. It took a while to figure out the computerised ordering system and we didn't quite get what we were expecting. Never mind once ordered we sat and waited for a few minutes before the food was delivered with good grace and wishes for a good meal, and really that's what we had, just burgers, fries and Fanta. All OK and edible and no after effects and very cheap! On the down side it is not a comfortable place to be, seating etc., no vinegar or...
While most people would frown upon having breakfast or coffee at McCafe (let alone a McDonald's), my family and I are not ashamed to admit that we LOVE coming to this place. Coffee is excellent and served in generous portions. But most of all, service...is great. Most of the staff speak perfect English but since most McDonald's branches are now equipped with the easy order facility, one isn't even required to order in perfect or broken French anymore.
Usual McDonalds, usual staff, usual food, usual furniture, usual decor, usual beverages, usual cleanliness, usual temperature, usual everything. Only thing unusual was the french speaking staff, but, come to think of it, as it was in France, that would ne usual. Oh come, it's a...blinking McDonalds, what did you expect to read. Jeez.

What you would expect from a McDonalds although there are a few extra’s. This restaurant has a children’s indoor play area and there is a separate coffee/cake shop. We skipped the usual McFlurry and opted for some decent coffee and Tiramisu. The place is ideal...if you have fussy eaters who are used to McDonald’s.
They do excellent chips, burgers were fine. Touch screen ordering which takes some doing. Otherwise a typical Mc Donald's. Better than our local one in UK. Service very good clean . Was not busy on a wet Friday night. Handy for the Ferry follow the Cherbourg bye pass around the town.
On our way through Cherbourg, there are several McDonalds to choose from, but this one I think is the better one...modern, clean and efficient. Great staff that uphold the McDonald legacy. Don’t hesitate, pop in. With ample Parking, when a covered area for bikes.
The order by screen in your own language ensured that we received exactly what we ordered. A screen of instructions was complete in French??? The food we received was good. Generally clean and tidy. Toilets might be a little better, though not terrible.

Abrupted at McDonalds just outside the port of Cherbourg and ordered a great tasty meal. The car touch screen boards so loose a bit in the French translation, but we chose table service and our meals came fast and were delicious!!!
