Nice, busy bar with a good atmosphere. More welcoming and 'local ' than many City Centre bars. The food is pretty good and the service is very efficient. There 's a couple of cask beers on as well as a wide selection of other alcoholic drinks. There 's room for groups as well as space for couples. Sports are shown but don 't overwhelm the place. And it 's not expensive here.
First time visitors here, and we were impressed. It was very busy as there was a rugby game on, but we’d reserved a table so there were no issues. Enjoyed the food, noticed they sold 0.0 alcohol beers so something for the designated drivers too. Rather surprised during half time in the rugby as a piper came on and free sausage rolls were offered!
Popped in for a pint, fantastic place, good atmosphere, great choice of whiskey with a handy whiskey guide on a wall, loved it!
Varied bar, something for everyone plenty of seating and they accept reservations
