This resturaunt is nice but as I can not enjoy it to its fullest extent because I am not of age to drink, I can only review the food and setting. Which are both good, its a comfortable environment to eat in and I felt very welcomed with my family, and the server was extremely nice and approachable. The food and desert was well made although the burger buns and patty do have some room for improvement but it is still an amazing meal to have. Very good place overall and am glad I came here ?
We always find that we want to enjoy McMenamins more than we actually do. The food and drinks are ok- the only thing I consistently enjoy is the steak bits. The terrace on this is beautiful. The Scooby bites looked overdone and not worth the cost. The sweet potato fries were also a star, but no one (it was six of us) liked the truffle sauce Pommes. The water tasted like dirt and one of our glasses had plastic bits in it, so it was not noticeable. On the top the servers were great.
This place is so hit or miss with the food (and service. And it's not the recipes (which I enjoy elsewhere it's the cook/s. I have had good food here, but nearly every time there is something off with the food or the order. Today the service was good, but the tater tots shattered in my mouth they were so overcooked. I feel like I just can't win at this location.
We stopped by as the last stop for our Portland Eastside Suburbs portion of the McMenamins passport. Zach treated us really well! The fish tacos and the steak bites are among our favorite McMenamins food now! Everything was flavorful and served hot. Posting a picture of the Black and Tan brownie with ice cream on top. Would highly recommend this location!!
