Located along an upscale shopping strip in the Toronto neighborhood of Leaside, McSorley's became known around North America as a quirky, enjoyable dive bar that offered friendly irreverence along with outstanding chili, peanut shells on the floor, and a truly unique variation on the ubiquitous chicken wing. The place changed ownership a few months back. In place of the interesting sports and local-history tchotchkes that used to decorate the walls, there are now giant TV screens booming out ballgames, making conversation difficult. Kitchen staff has changed, and the formerly outstanding grilled-not-fried wings now come doused in an unpleasant bottled dressing and are not edible. The witty m...

places where you can bring your kids and enjoy a meal without feeling out of place. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making sure that everyone has a great experience. The menu offers a variety of options, from classic pub fare to more gourmet dishes. The drinks are also top-notch, with a good selection of beers and cocktails. Overall, this is a great spot for a casual night out with the family.
Visited this restaurant for breakfast/brunch at 9:30 on a Saturday morning. Service was largely disinterested in us being there and finally brought us some menus after 15 minutes. Food was awful. Sausages smelled like old socks and pancakes were dry and tasteless. We will not be eating here again for breakfast. Not really a "wonderful" place overall. Good luck finding parking as it is not worth it!
I've gone to McSorleys with my son and his family many times. The food is quite good; its kid friendly, with t.v.'s visibly placed so that you can eat and watch a game at the same time. Peanuts shells on the floor, very casual and very popular with families and sports fans. If you want a quiet dinner out this isn't for you. Book a table now

I went in for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised at the great service! I ordered the soup and sandwich of the day and it was really good! The bartender Patty was well versed in the menu offerings and had my order to my seat in 5 mins! I will definitely be back!
We love coming to McSorley's for a family weekend brunch, a weekday lunch, or the occasional dinner. Nice patio for warm weather or tables facing open window. Great ribs, wings, sandwiches, eggs benedict.
Had a great evening at Mcsorleys. It was easy, with good food and service. Consistent as usual. A trustworthy local spot. Book a table now
they are free and you can deposit the shells on the floor. Hamburger was a generous size with a good helping of fries.
I usually enjoy sketchy looking bars, but this one was pretty dull and the cocktails were weak on alcohol.

"The food was good, hot and amazing. Best kimchi ever, right amount of sourness and spiciness. The owner was great, friendly and respectful, since the servers were too busy to focus on taking care of tables, he came and took care of us well."
