Our evening meal here was probably the best of our stay on Cabo de Gata a huge plate of vegetarian nibbles to start (hummus, guacamole, falafels, crudités, pitta, lettuce, tomatoes), and a wonderfully fresh and flavourful plate of black tomatoes with garlic. Then Jenny got stuck into a large skillet of Moroccan spiced fish and vegetables, while I dealt enthusiastically with a large plate of gnocchi with a mushroom and spinach sauce. A couple of large glasses of white wine apiece helped it all slip down ever so easily, and the Moroccan waiter was as helpful chatty and friendly as you could possibly hope for. Food average. Service average. Whilst eating starters the waiter brought the mains. He didn't apologise or seem to understand what the issue was. After that he lost his fake friendliness. That'was a relief as he was overdoing it at the start. We won't be returning or encouraging anyone else do do so either.
Our waiter was great and had a professional but fun attitude. The atmosphere was relaxing and very enjoyable. The food was well presented and tasted great. We shared the tomato salad and seafood paella, which were delicious. A very nice night!
