Melaque Mexican - Table reservation

I've posted 5-star in the past and our recent meal was equally great. A couple bad reviews from the Taco Tuesday crowd had me worried, but those seemed to be intentionally damaging for some purpose. Our group was large and required two booths which required a brief wait to get nearby tables. Our waitress was prompt and well organized managing our orders. The orders for our six adults and three children were delivered quickly on very hot platters. Without exception our meals were exactly as ordered with large portions. Members of our group had lived in Hermosillo Sonora Mexico for a few years, and thoroughly enjoyed their authentic meals. I'm a fan of the Colorado burrito and wasn't disappoin...

The environment is quite cozy and colorful. You will walk away very full from excellent flavors and blends of items on your plate. I find myself waiting in line with other that have no intention of leaving. This is a great place to eat and I will return again and again. When there are lines, they do ask that you leave when you finish eating so that other anxious customers can be seated.

Beans and rice seemed old and the beans were a questionable color. Chicken was dry and flavorless in the flautas. My fiance got the pollo asado which was much better than my dish but still not great at all. My Mexican fiance says she can judge the authenticity or a Mexican restaurant by the cheese they use. Our plates had nothing but cheddar. That is a white man's cheese.

Great meal, great Mexican food in Helena Montana. This would be an awesome restaurant to check out if ever in area.
