Melati Indonesian Restaurant

Food was tasty but the serving sizes were small and pricey. The restaurant was very cold no heating on and the service was very poor. The waitress stood behind the counter but didn't offer to replace water or check if we wanted to order desserts ,coffee or if our meals were ok. It was also noisy due to the hard surfaces. We had gathered for a family occasion and to be honest the experience was disappointing.

We recently had dinner at Melati for the first time since the ownership changed before May 2018. Liz and Eric, the previous owners, have retired and passed on the family business to their nephew. He has redecorated the restaurant, giving it a more modern look by replacing the old carpet and outdated vertical blinds from the 80s/90s with fairy lights, floorboards, and modern lighting.

The food was lovely, we had the set menuB, it looked good, but the servings were very small. The taste was excellent, but we ended up ordering two extra dishes as it really wasn't enough. It was cold, but the service was excellent. I gave 4 stars for the good food, if serves had been larger it would have got 5 stars.

Marg and I plus another couple went there on a Friday night. Place was pretty much full so I am glad we booked. Food was really lovely and the service was excellent. Certainly recommend and will be back again soon

Great warm service. The food was so tasty and high quality. The rendang was amazing. Everything was so good.
