It's a low key cosy family owned restaurant. I went for dinner and felt like it was closed because the lights were dimmed out. It accommodates around 15. Most of them come for a to go I guess. There was a lady and she was the owner and the chef I guess which is what I've seen in the other ethiopian restaurants as well. Anyways, she was nice to us. They didn't have the typical combos but I ordered the vegetarian and added one meat as add-on to it. It was $5 extra. Felt expensive it though. Tastes were good but felt the meat could a bit more softer. The overall experience was not bad. It's value for money I'd say. Can try once I'd return if I don't have options nearby.
$32 for tibs and a side of collard greens is very expensive. The injera was spoiled so it went in the trash. The tibs were just ok and the collard greens could’ve used more seasoning. Door was locked when I came to pick up my food and there was a long awkward silence as I waited to pay. It seems as though they may be open but not open? Overall, I don’t recommend. I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The food was fantastic, the music was amazing, and the coffee was delicious. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. They offer a variety of vegetarian options, including vegan dishes. For those with dietary restrictions, they have gluten-free bread available. Plus, there is plenty of free parking.
I haven't even tasted the food yet! When I walked in on a quiet night, the owner was about to close up. I mentioned that I could leave and look for another place, but she urged me to stay and have something to eat. If that isn’t the definition of excellent hospitality, I don’t know what is. Thank you!
