Had the chuletas, which is basically a rib of beef served partially cooked on an individual barbecue brought to your table. This way you can eat your beef anything from blue/rare up to blackened, as you prefer. Waiters were great to us, but we were being hosted by locals which probably helped a lot. View is spectacular over Bilbao, as the sun set there's also the option for a walk up the hill, in case you haven't got quite enough appetite for the chuletas yet. Strange custom of serving the red wine chilled, but easy enough to hoist it out of the bucket and drink it warmed. However on a 40C night might change my mind. Was €35 per head for a monster meal including wine, coffee and brandies!
Excelentes carnes. Disfrutamos de un chuñeton delicioso. El entrecot también estaba bueno. Todo acompañado de patatas fritas caseras. La ensalada mendipe está espectacular, con salmon y anchoas pero todo lo demás pintaba de fábula El servicio muy bueno y el restaurante cómodo, pasamos un rato muy agradable. En la parte de la terraza había mucha gente cenando al fresco y había música. Muy buen ambiente y unas vistas espléndidas Conviene reservar De precio no es barato pero por la calidad merece la pena
Esta bien para ir a comer en familia. Los precios y la carta en terraza e interior son diferentes. Tienen mucha parte en común, en nuestro caso podríamos haber comido fuera ya que la chuleta, el bakalao a la brasa y las rabas se sirven también en el jardín.
The place is very nice. View of Bilbao is great. We heard the meat was very good so we got the chuleton. It was tasty but the meat was tough and chewy. The waiter was not very helpful either. Expensive meal for a below average experience.

La verdad es que cojimos menú cerrado y estuvo muy bien . Pero tengo que volver a comer esas alubias hechas en puchera ferroviaria que olían de miedo. Buen aparcamiento y sitio acogedor . Lo recomiendo .
Hoy en nuestra visita hemos degustado el jamón ibérico bellota cortado a cuchillo con un corte finito espectacular muy recomendable Al igual que su especialidad en Txuleta
De los mejores restaurantes en Bilbao, merece la pena subir hasta allí. Casi siempre he pedido el menú con txuleta, y es muy bueno calidad/precio.
Excellent restaurant if you want to have a typical lunch with good views. It is even better if you have this lunch after climbing the pagasarri
