Restaurant was PACKED a few Friday nights ago! Customers were definitely not even close being feet apart. Maybe they are following the health guidelines but it sure did NOT feel like it. We did see a staff member walk a customer from the front...door through the restaurant who didn’t have a mask on. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes we get a great server and other times we get someone who makes us feel like we’re an inconvenience. Food is decent and consistent but we will NEVER come back to dine here again. I used to dine here occasionally, before COVID, but since this experience, I won’t be back.
The place wasn’t even busy and we saw at least waitresses working. Waited just to get water. Ordered and waited another to get food. The food was stone cold and they gave me the wrong soup. No one checked on us again...after we told them the issue. Waited for another to pay the bill AFTER we told the hostess it’s been a long wait just to get someone, anyone. We had a great lunch here at Merchants! The gluten free pizza was super good and the smoked meat sandwich was delicious! We definitely will be back again when we're in town! The drinks were also all amazing. Highly recommend checking this spot out!
