Today we wanted to go to the actual orchard, but as they led us to wear masks that we left and drove around a small thru city. We drove by and decided to stop. I'm very happy. From the beginning to the end we had great service from Julie and although we could not do a tasting, we tried a new cedar that was brilliant. The building was a beautiful old bank and the story behind it was pretty cool. We go back and would like to visit the orchard as soon as the masks are not obligatory.
Despite some of the poor reviews, our party of 6 visited for breakfast. The staff was very accommodating and put 2 tables together for our party. The breakfast buffet was great... We actually liked it better than the main location. We feel that because this location is of less volume, they do a great job of cooking in small batches which keeps the food very hot and fresh. We were very pleased with this experience and will definitely return.
Downtown Blue Ridge is getting better. Mercier Orchards has added a restaurant in downtown with breakfast and lunch and of course a bakery next door with its famous fruit fried cakes. There is a menu or a buffet for breakfast. Since we love her French toast with cinnamon apples, we have tried nothing else. The coffee is excellent and is groundless. Attention. Hard cider available and flight taste test. Open 7 am to 6 pm.
Five star service and 3 star buffet breakfast. Bacon and chicken were great. Eggs and smirk both runny. Lipton tea bags were a surprise. Merciers should go with a high-quality hot tea to go with their menu. It's super sweet inside. I'd definitely eat again here, just not the buffet.
