My wife reached out to the restaurant to arrange a birthday gift for my sister, dinner at her favorite spot, Mesquite Chop House. Mark, the manager, was professional and helpful throughout the experience. Despite my sister needing to change her reservation due to bad weather, Mark was accommodating. Let’s start with the positive, the steak had a wonderful flavor. Moving on: 1) don’t order a drink off the menu, the dry gin martini came out brown; 2) the on-menu old fashioned came out with an orange with the rind removed instead of the rind without the pulp; 3) we had a new waitress , which of fine but she wouldn’t write anything down and had to come back to us 4 times to verify our order; 4) we order steak medium rare but they came out rare, we would have sent them back to the grill for a minute but no one checked on us for about 20 minutes after dinner was delivered; 5) too much salt on everything; 6) I’m tired of writing, don’t waste your time.
Didn?t have reservations so they sat us at the bar?very close to another couple when the whole bar was empty. Poor seating etiquette. But that?s my only complaint. Everything else was awesome. Staff was very nice. Our bartender James was awesome! He recommended great drinks and was efficient. Food was perfect. And the whole experience was a vibe?minus being inches away from strangers when the whole bar was empty?
Great place to eat. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Our salad was so fresh. I had the lobster mac and my husband had the bake potato and both were very good. They are following covid protocol and the service was wonderful. Thank you for such a great experience. You could tell the chefs and the servers cared. I will definitely be back soon. Small and intimate but still well lit enough for a business dinner. They have light music playing 90s indi pop which was nice. Staff are well put together. Bathrooms are always a reflection of an establishments cleanliness and this steakhouse had a clean bathroom. The drinks were top shelf amd well priced. The drinks were made perfectly and very yummy.
Our service was great but unfortunately the food fell so short and we definitely expressed our feedback. Steaks were very under seasoned as well as the sides. Atmosphere wasn’t very welcoming, no music playing nothing. Just for the price you pay it isn’t worth it.
Upon arriving, we were informed that the service might be slow. Nevertheless, the restaurant was stunning and the food was excellent. I would have rated it higher if our waiter had been more attentive. Overall, I recommend giving this place a try.
Amazing!!! The wedge salad was fantastic and the steak was seasoned perfectly. The two cocktails (BB Queen and Strawberry Mojito) were refreshing. Excellent experience!!
