Not your ordinary taco stand! Mesquite is a gem in the middle of a small, quaint waterside village. The rustic atmosphere is fun and funky, the service is friendly and prompt, and the view is spectacular. Then there's the food.... The selections are wide and the flavor combinations are creative and inventive. In addition to traditional Tex-Mex fare, Mesquite's taco filling varieties include shrimp BLT, Philly cheese steak, duck, skirt steak, chorizo sausage, and numerous daily specials. I’ve stopped here about 3 times after new ownership summer 2022. With the new hours Its more convenient to get a good homemade lunch. The chicken and steak tacos are really good pork tacos are a bit tough and stringy. The Spanish street corn is amazing. Also there homemade drinks are really good as well. I definitely recommend coming for a quick bite to eat they also give you free chips and salsa while you wait that’s customer service!
the best tacos in wading river! every time i get tacos they’re always great! The pulled pork, blue cheese steak and fish are my favorites! This time I tried the bbq chicken and that was great too. The chicken tortilla soup was good but not a traditional chicken tortilla. It was missing that rich tomato broth with the spice and tortillas. it tasted more like a chicken noodle soup with avocados in it.
Absolutely love this place, it's environment and especially its food! You can definitely tell that they take pride in their cuisine and business. Best tacos. Awesome atmosphere. Not too crowded. Love the soups too. I had a delicious butternut squash soup around thanksgiving here that was so good. One of the biggest reasons o come back is for the fresh ingredients and creativity that goes interested the menu!
