We have been regulars to the mevan since it opened in Leighton and when lockdown happened we missed our favourite Turkish restaurant, as we had many family parties there and we were always treated like royalty by the owners.Then we see that if was being refurbished and found out it was under new ownership we couldn’t wait to see and see if the food was still amazing and hoping to see if the old staff had been retained.We were not disappointed, great refurb and as we walked in there was a new greeter and then the old manager came and gave us a big hug and the best barman in town was still there.We were sat down and it was like we were at home with complimentary shot and nothing was a problem....
Great place to visit with friends. Service was ok, the food was fantastic can not fault the chefs! Beautiful food which came quickly too. The vibe and decor is also great, good experience overall and I would come back. My only niggle was that I ordered the prawn casserole which on their menu states comes with rice and salad which I did not get, and when I asked the waitress if it came with rice she checked and said no. So I just had the prawns cooked in a beautiful sauce. Luckily my table ordered a side to share but it was disheartening that the dish was different to what was listed on the menu
As a frequent customer of the Mevan I am disgusted at the rude gentlemen i have just encountered on the phone. After phoning up late afternoon in hope for a collection on Christmas Eve (which i appreciate is a busy time of year) the young boy i spoke to then passed me on to his senior who bellowed at me “WHAT IS THE PROBLEM ORDER WITH UBEREATS/JUST EAT? WE ARE TOO BUSY TO SPEAK TO YOU.” When answering that my village was not on this, he said TOUGH WE ARE TOO BUSY” Disgusting. Phoned up Ephesus who’s service i could not fault.
I would like to congratulate the Mevan on the worst dining experience we have ever experienced “ the service was poor properly due to being understaffed “possibly understandable during the current climate “ That is where my symphony ends “ the food they are currently serving there is truly truly awful “my wife’s food which I may add was a “chiefs special “ was the worst meal I have ever seen presented in a restaurant It is such a shame as the restaurant itself looks fantastic “however do not be fooled “the food is a disgrace.

This was a good restaurant to visit for a meal and a chat. It has now become a party venue with loud disco music. Fine if your part of a large group out on the town but not if you’re looking for a meal in relaxed surroundings. The food was good but our drinks did not arrive until after the first course. We would have had a dessert and coffee but by the time we were able to get someone’s attention we were ready for the bill
Went with a friend who I don’t see often. Starter was great, main was lamb kleftico which I’ve had elsewhere and it’s been amazing, this was a lamb shank on mash potato if you ask me. Service was reasonable, prices expensive… I’d need to return to try something else to recommend…
Superb turkish food, generous portions, great cocktails friendly staff. It's been a while since I last visited same delicious food; impressive plush decor.
Food is clearly fresh, service is good and reasonable considering that your food is so fresh. Can't get enough of their complimentary bread and dips.

One of the best Turkish meals I have ever had, and I have tried a lot. Meat was cooked to perfection, staff were also very friendly.
