I went to this restaurant to buy dinner for my family, but I was told that the cash I was trying to use was too old and considered expired. The bills were from around 1986. They wouldn't accept them at all. On top of that, they also refused to take the $2 bills I offered because they didn't recognize them. This was surprising, especially coming from an adult woman in her 50s!
I really love this restaurant—I’ve been friends with the owners since the 1980s. However, I'm disappointed that their hours have changed. They are no longer open late on Saturdays and are now closed on Sundays. Additionally, it would be wonderful if I could call in my tamale order during the holidays instead of having to visit in person to place it.
The food at this restaurant is outstanding, but the real star is undoubtedly the salsa. The Don Vicente Chipotle salsa is particularly exceptional, boasting a fantastic mix of flavors and the perfect level of spiciness that keeps me coming back for more.
The tortilla chips here are the best I've ever had, which naturally means the tortillas are outstanding as well. This is one of the few places that offers Chile Colorado, and their carnitas are among the best I've found in the area. Book a table now
The Chile Colorado plate deserves a special mention—it's very authentic and one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The tacos are great as well!
The food is incredible! You absolutely have to try the Chili Arbole! It’s the ultimate comfort food that never fails to warm me up.
The bacon, egg, potato, and cheese breakfast burrito lacked seasoning. A touch of salt and pepper would have made it much better!
