The food here is excellent, especially the shrimp tacos. It’s consistently great every time I visit. I’ve been coming to Mexxi's San Ramon for over 10 years and really wish they had a location in Walnut Creek. Their longevity speaks for itself. The owner is a wonderful person—always friendly and grateful when I come in. I saw a previous comment about the cashier maybe being better suited in the kitchen, but they must have made some changes because the owner is always very welcoming. I keep coming back for the amazing, delicious food, which is also very reasonably priced for the quality you get.
The staff and owners of this place are so welcoming and friendly. I'm kind of a semi-regular here but I must say everytime I come in I feel like they go outta their way to make my visit extra pleasant. As I'm waiting in line they hand me a beer cuz they know that I always order a Pacifica. The food has NEVER disappointed me either, always fresh and flavorful. Today I tried the tostada for my first time here and I have to say it was the Best tostada I've ever had! If I didn't eat it so fast I would've def taken pics. Thank you Mexxis for making my day!!!
When will Mexxi's San Ramon hire another front counter staff member? Whether it's the owner or not, he should be in the kitchen cooking instead of taking orders. I've stopped coming because of his attitude, and my orders have often been incorrect recently. It's not a one-time issue—check the reviews, he behaves this way consistently! Just drive a mile down Village Parkway to Los Pericos for larger portions, better food, and superior service.
So if you all get a front counter? Owner or not, he must be in the back cook, and not customer orders. I stopped going because of his posture, not mentioning my order has generally been wrong lately. It's not like he had a bad day. He checked the reviews, he's all the time! Drive a mile down the village park path to Los Pericos. More food, better food, better service.

The owner who took my order was rude. When I asked for spicier salsa, he gave me a glare and refused. He seems to believe his food is special, but it was actually bland, nothing impressive, and overpriced.
This Fish burrito is great just wish it came with a small bag of chips like most places and have more selection of add-ons at the salsa bar like limes and hot carrots. This would complete my 5 stars
Food is ok, the restaurant owner is not very welcoming. What's the Mexican food without salsa, he will give you one tiny container of salsa after asking, which you can eat with one bite of burrito.
Love this place! The food is awesome the owners and staff are amazing! Cool atmosphere. Casual and feels like home !

burrito was one of the worst I had. the salsa in the inner tasted like Ragu/Marinara instead of Mexican salsa.
Honestly, the Veggie Burrito was not as good as the Tacoglocke. Sad.
