The food was so delicious! I really enjoyed the multiple platter option on the menu where you get to choose many different items that come in small dishes. Since this was my first time having Lebanese cuisine, the multiple platter option really allowed me to try all the different items to see which ones I liked and didn't like. There was also A TON of vegan options that were super filling. I ended up loving everything that we ordered and will definitely come back for some of the full-size items! The restaurant was really pretty inside too with short ceilings and brick walls- it was very romantic. My only criticism is that their menu was very poorly designed. They had items that were labeled...

Lunchtime Special Menu review only. This may well be the best value lunch in Bristol. I 've lived here 33 years and cant think of another! £4.95 includes: 6 little dishes consisting of a well seasoned salad, Hummus, aubergine puree, stuffed vine leaves and a stuffed pastry all served with flat bread....mmmm you may think, but that 's pretty normal fayre. THEN they serve a plate of mixed meat and beautiful flavoured rice. I chose the spicy and it was a medium pokey, very flavoursome. The atmosphere is, well, cave-like, because you 're in a cave-like cellar! Its low ceilings lend itself to intimacy and you really feel like you 're dining alone, even if the room is packed. Soft drinks are all £1....

I will be honest and say that I had little hope for this place when I stepped in (or shall I say step down) into their underground themed restaurant. Yes, underground sounds pretty cool, huh? What did not appeal to me were the tiles which did not look clean but it may be because it's an old place-who knows ! The room is dim and quiet, just a few tables occupied on a Saturday afternoon. The waitress was nice but seemed to keep forgetting that she had asked the same question twice in 30 seconds. I have to say that when the food came, my friend and I had nothing to complain about. Yes, it wasn't like our mums food but it was good enough for a restaurant away from home. I really enjoyed the Baba...

I absolutely love eating at this restaurant! We ordered the spicy mezze platter along with our main courses: hummus, spicy potatoes, kibbeh, spicy salad, and grape leaves followed by kafta and rice. We also tried the traditional Lebanese alcoholic drink arak and the Lebanese beer almaza. The service was excellent and the restaurant had a very nice and cozy atmosphere. They only accept cash due to bad internet connection. I highly recommend this Lebanese restaurant.
