I had the worst experience at this club. It feels like they are actively trying to drive away customers. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I'm 22, and the bouncer wrongly insisted that my genuine ID was fake. He then called over two other bouncers who also dismissed it without scanning or even asking me any questions. When I requested my ID back and mentioned I would be calling the police, they were incredibly rude. The police arrived and quickly confirmed that my ID was authentic. Rather than apologize, the bouncers continued their bizarre power trip and refused to let us in simply because "they didn't like us." An extremely atmospheric place that has been run by a family for years, which creates a family atmosphere there. Several concert halls for various types of events. An iconic place and an absolute must-see when visiting Boston. The owner is a very nice and cordial man, during our stay we were treated to baklava that I have never eaten in my life, it was finesse and poetry of taste.
I've been visiting this place since I was around 11 years old, and I always seem to forget that they serve food. I've dined here just once (not including the backstage hummus), but it was wonderful! It's an amazing venue for live performances; I truly believe it's the last authentic rock and roll club in Boston.
Bartender completely ignored me, looked me dead in my face, seeing that I was in a wheelchair and couldn't get exactly in front of her to place my drink order due to the chairs and people in the way. Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms are NOT wheelchair accessible.
