How is place still in business!! We have tried this place 3 years ago and I think the fried rice is the same rice we had from then. We were the only people in the restaurant and ordered Crab Rangoon which where heated in the microwave then deep fried to give crunch. The spider role tasted like it was left over from 3 weeks ago, and the fried rice was cooked in the microwave as we watched. When we tried to have a conversation with the owner they told us to get out and don 't come back. That is not a problem as I am sure they will be closed soon with that type of food preparation and attitude towards customers. This is one Crestwood business that needs to figure things out. Response to owner....
First time here. Just moved to Crestwood. Not impressive at all. Food was ok. Sushi roll wasn 't very tight, had to eat with a fork. Hibachi spicy chicken wasn 't remotely spicy. The portions were good sized. My wife and I split an entree and a sushi roll and there was plenty. Table was sticky. I think the AC may have been out which I can 't fault them for completely but it was warmer in there than it should have been. No one was friendly. I felt as though we were in the way even though we were only one of two tables seated. Probably won 't go back which sucks because there aren 't a lot of options. Either tighten up or move out of the way and let someone else do it well.
This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and we ordered carry-out. I only had to wait a few minutes when I arrived to pick up our order, which I appreciated since they probably waited until I got there to fry our sushi roll. The Sunday morning roll was fresh and delicious. We also ordered chicken hibachi; the chicken had a delightful smoky flavor that I really enjoyed, and there were plenty of vegetables along with some lo mein! All the employees handling food were wearing masks, and everyone was very friendly. I will definitely be back!
Additionally, we asked for double salads without soup, but instead received soups along with salad dressing. They did not include the salads in the bag, only the dressings. The food itself was bland and tough; the chicken tasted as if it had been boiled in water with teriyaki sauce sprayed on top. The vegetables were greasy and mushy. We had higher expectations from this restaurant and would have been better off choosing the fast food Chinese place, China King. Book a table now
Wonderful sushi. Wonderful hidden gem in Crestwood! My wife and I have dined here every Friday night since it opened and we love every bite. The staff is great with our 6 month old son and the location is very convenient. The nigiri sushi here is comparable to many other sushi places I have experienced in NYC, Chicago, LA, and London.
I was in the area, as I live just outside of Crestwood, and decided to give this restaurant a try. I can confidently say that the sushi I had at Mikato Steak and Sushi was on par with the best places I've tried in Louisville. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be ordering from here again.
We stopped by here judging a book by its cover. I would have to say that my judgement was wrong. This place has a unique taste with their hibachi and sushi. I usually eat at a lot of hibachi and sushi restaurants, but this is a top of my list. If I ever cross the here I will do my best to stop by.
This place is way better than the other Japanese restaurant in Crestwood! It is very reasonably priced for the great food you get too. The teriyaki chicken was outstanding! Book a table now
This is a great family run business. The food is excellent I have been to many other sushi places and this is among my favorites! The service is very pleasant and prompt!
