Under chef-owner Ivan Williams, the Milford Bistro is again the place to go in the County for welcoming warm greetings in a romantic spot with superb attractively priced creative cookery from a passionate chef. Worth a detour, as Michelin would say. The chef cares so much about your experience he sat down with us following the meal to ask our opinions. Sam the server helped us through ordering local beers and wine, including Lighthall sparkling rosé and Grange Cab Franc, a personal favourite. We had a beautifully composed spinach/walnuts salad with Boursin and to die for house made potato coins or chips with aioli for starters and local lamb sausage and garlic mash and a veggie curry with a...

I've eaten at several different iterations of this restaurant over time (is it me, or is there a new set-up every year?), but this was the weakest offering. The sad part is that the food is pretty good, but the front of the house disorganization the night that we were there was conspicuous. Here are some suggestions for the owner:- when people call to make a reservation, please have the guy on the phone tell them that the restaurant doesn't actually take reservations, our 'reservation' was completely fictitious. - print out a wine list; paper is cheap and it's embarrassing when the server only identified "local white" and "French white" as the options initially- get some decent local wine, t...

We were lucky to have lunch at the Milford Bistro today and to meet the new owners. My wife had the vegetarian Shepherd's Pie, while I had the Beef and Chorizo Burger. Both choices were excellent and when I said, after lunch, that I was torn between the burger and a vegetarian curry, I was offered a taste of the curry. I wouldn't say I made the wrong choice; rather, I have a good reason to go back. The menu isn't too long, but there are lots of appealing choices. Staff are friendly and engaging. We hope the Milford Bistro is around for a long time. Don't drive past. Stop and enjoy a great meal.

A little off the beaten-path so not so busy, which was great. Perfect if you are cycling around Prince Edward County, as they have indoor seating, and a few picnic tables with outdoor seating. It was very relaxing and laid-back. The server (owner?) was friendly and welcoming. We had the curry and the shepherd's pie -- some unconventional twists that made it absolutely yummy! We were too full for dessert! Book a table now

We had dinner here and were greeted by the new chef, Ivan, before we even went inside. The food was delicious (shepherd's pie and lamb) and the dessert (flambed banana and vanilla crepes) was to die for. Ivan even picked fresh herbs and veggies from the garden for my side salad as well. The server was great as well - didn't catch her name. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Six of our friends and ourselves had lunch at this spot and to a person found the server charming, attentive, but not over so, accommodating and everyone enjoyed their meals which almost sampled the entire menu. Food was fresh, local and nicely presented in a very quaint setting. Worth the trip if in PEC.

Stopped in for lunch while visiting wineries in the area. Just reopened and such a fantastic place. Imaginative and delicious food. Very personal and attentive service. Highly recommend this off the beaten path gem. We will return on our next visit.

Every summer, my family and I visit the County for a few days and nights. Dining out is always a highlight of our evenings.
