My wife and I decided to stop by for lunch after a morning at Turner Falls. Upon entering, we immediately noticed that the restaurant was quite dimly lit for the time of day (around 1:30/2). Our server was pleasant enough, but didn't seem too keen on engaging with us. We opted for the Chopped Italian Sandwich and a Caesar Salad topped with Blackened Chicken. Unfortunately, the sandwich was disappointing, both in appearance and taste, rating a 0 out of 10 from me. The salad had fresh lettuce, but the dressing left much to be desired. Traveling back to Texas from Oklahoma, we decided to stop in Ardmore OK for lunch. We were traveling with our Boxer (dog) and looking for something dog friendly. The Mill Street Tavern was just the ticket. Great food, fantastic waitstaff...Even live music on the weekends. Large covered patio, plenty of seating and great live music. We will definitely be back!!! The food sounds fancy and looks really good but it actually lacks flavor. Each of us ordered something different and were all disappointed. The pizza fries were the best thing. I'm not sure they even add salt and pepper to their burger meat. Was expensive also. They were dead with only 2 tables in eating but we were early dinner group. We chose this restaurant since we were traveling with our dog they have an outdoor covered patio that allows dogs along with a stage with live music on a Sunday afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality selection of food along with great atmosphere! Vegetarian options: I had the strawberry chicken spinach salad which was delicious! Love the atmosphere. Steak wedge is phenomenal. Service could be better and the bar gets overwhelmed. Most fridays and Saturday’s they have bands on the patio. Cool little place to hang out with no drama or politics. Very laid back.
