High expectation for a median/poor food experience. Our host was not helpful and not willing to help the experience improve, clearly not there to please the customers. This was not true for other hosts that were more pleasing in their manner. The entree was speck with olives and pickles. Enjoyable but the need didn’t have that much flavor. Ordered bread to accompany this dish and for our suprisse 2 thin slices of overpriced bread clearly overheated in the microwave was presented. We had ragu as the main dish that took more than 45minutes to arrive when all the other tables, that arrived after us, were almost at the end of their meals. MV Bistro Wine Bar was amazing. Went with the girls for an early Saturday night meal and it offered a great vibe. Welcoming friendly staff, Christmas feel, great French rose, and we all gobbled our meals up without hesitation. I enjoyed the duck ragu- must-try! The staff really did make the night, with a very warm ambience and happy to enjoy a laugh with us.
The waiter changed our order without advising us, delivered the new dish to the table and only when we asked what it was did he say that the chef changed the menu and was no longer making the dish we ordered. So, instead of the squid ink pasta we got a zucchini pesto pasta. Poor communication.
My husband and I had a pre Christmas dinner with friends at MV Bistro. It was a wonderful evening. The food was delicious. I recommend the beef tagliata. The wine was fabulous ask Rhaad to recommend the perfect wine to compliment your food. And enjoy MVs signature drink the limoncello martini.
