What an absolute gem this place. Can't recall how many times I have been here as the food is great and service is friendly and warm. I had the Fish and chips ( battered Hoki fish ) and the fish was cooked perfect and not oily. Chips were crunchy but soft inside and the best is the soft and tender calamari, best calamari I have ever had.Another favourite of mine is the fish tacos! Order 2 for $10.00, squeeze a lemon wedge and enjoy. Neil the manager offers complimentary soup in the evenings and he provide warm and professional service. The Burger with the works is also worth a mention, be prepared with extra serviettes as the burger is massive and delicious. The staff are great, Troy and Mand...

Second time I've eaten here. Having been there once, we visited again. It had left its mark on us! Chose the Snapper, crumbed, with chips. Had them as take-away and, armed with coffee from next door, crossed the road to the park opposite and sat a a wooden table under a big shady tree. The fish (a real man-sized piece) was cooked to perfection with a mere hint of some herb or spice in the crumb; it was the combination of a crunchy crumb coating combined with the most beautiful, melt-in-the-mouth snapper I've ever eaten, and of course, fabulous "crunchy on the outside, soft inside" chips to finish it off. The food was absolutely yummy, the price was reasonable, and we'll definitely be returni...
We dropped into this busy strip on Fri night to check out the fish & chips. Tried barramundi both ways, grilled & pan fried as well as calamari rings. Got the chips but with chicken salt (which we hadn't ordered) & aioli dressing. Grilled was the better choice for the barra however both were fine. The calamari was a very generous serve which we couldn't quite finish. The chips were salty to some tastes but not everyone's.We perched at a bar table to eat them & having brought our own wine & glasses enjoyed a nice meal in a buzzy area while we people watched. Lucky it wasn't too cold as there's no heaters & only a couple of tables for those who don't want to take away. But millies certainly pa...
Visited this petite little fish and chip cookery Sunday 25th June and I must say it was a great experience in a perfect location, Myself and my family purchased 2 works burgers plus a seafood basket and a nuggets kids meal. The burgers were amazing and oh so big. My hubby wanted to come back for another before we went home!!. The seafood basket was beautiful and fresh, the calamari was the best I think I have ever had, my only slight was that it wasnt actually in a basket. They are very popular and get very busy which I dont mind, as it was a beautiful day in the park across the road by the water. I recommend to all. Book a table now
Hi Millie Weirs crew. I decided to give you guys a second chance and I am glad I did. My experiences were always good but last time was terribly upset with the food. I didnt leave a good review and rightfully so. But Wednesday night I came in with my family to give this another go, I was welcomed with a lovely complimentary soup and then went on to have some of the best fish, burgers and chips our family have had. My oldest is a celiac and the cook was very helpful in looking after us in this regard. My youngest daughter is already wanting to come back again tonight. Thank you Millie Weirs
I don't usually write reviews but we are visiting the Gold Coast for a couple of days and last night came across this modern clean fish and chip shop with a difference. We had the fish of the day which was delicious and very reasonably priced $9.90. The staff were super and very attentive and to top it all they gave us a compliment soup to enjoy whilst we waited for our meal. We will definitely be back next time we are on the Gold Coast. How fantastic to see good old fashion friendly service and good food still exist.
Ordered barramundi, to eat at tables. First piece was undercooked in the middle. Returned it had another piece cooked also not right. Was very grey looking and rubbery inside just like raw fish. The cook came out explained he used a temperature probe to ensure the right temperature, also said they have never had any complaints before. Oh well the cook is always right. I refused to eat it and luckily for me got a refund. Rather than eat undercooked fish! Maybe their temperature probe should be trown out.
Myself and my family visited there 2 days ago. Have to say we were very disappointed, the chef was from far away another country ( latvia , greek etc ) he clearly had no idea how to cook good australian fish and chips , our fish was oily and over cooked yet our chips were undercooked very much so. Terriblly disappointed Book a table now
Went today with wife for fish and chips lunch and it was superb. Had Hoki and chips and it was well cooked and really delicious. Will most definitely be returning when I need a fish and chips fix.
