This place is hit or miss. Tonight was a miss- I started with the artisan salad that had peaches and candid walnuts and with a honey blueberry vinaigrette. The salad had two extremely small diced peaches that were toothpick thin and less than an inch long. The salad also had two crumbs of walnuts. I ordered the swordfish and it was not fresh very tough, looked like frozen meatloaf and came out cold. I ended up having to send it back for the salmon which was good but the orzo was hard and dry with dill pairing (but says lemon herb on the menu) which was odd with a sticky glazed salmon seasoning. We ate at Mill’s Tavern a week ago and it was delightful. We came back yesterday with our entire family and it was very disappointing. The menu had just been changed from spring to summer and the wait staff service was chaotic and clumsy. We tried to be understanding but staff knocked a vase of water over and spilled a basket of bread on the table. Salmon and swordfish were very overcooked. Our drink order had to repeated numerous times. Expectations were not met and the value certainly wasn’t there.
A very special meal for our Anniversary Dinner. They served complimentary glass of champagne and added special decoration to our dessert. Both of our steaks were made to perfection and the beef was top notch very tender with delicious complimentary sauces. The Caesar salad was the best I have ever had! And I have eaten a lot of Cary salads in my life! Server was very attentive but not at all intrusive. A wonderful experience all around! We will be back when we visit the East Coast again.
Food was good, server was excellent but the wait time between ordering our food and its arrival was about 3x what it should have been. Manager said it was because they shifted from Spring to Summer menu that evening and the kitchen was struggling a bit. I understand all restaurants are still struggling with staffing post pandemic but figure it out before service begins.

The food was excellent. The service was exceptional. The atmosphere was perfect for conversation where we can hear each other. An overall fantastic experience.
