The food here is freshly prepared, and it's cheap. Plus, the ambiance is nice and friendly, definitely a notch above the "typical asian takeout" restaurant, if there is such a thing.So far so good.However, the dishes are not very authentic, most of the fresh herbs and spices which are the hallmark of the wonderful vietnamese cuisine are missing, the food here is bland and uninspired, the sauces ready-made, some of the meat deep fried. What you get seems to match exactly so many other mediocre south east asian restaurants which can be found all over Europe. One more star for the nice interior with beautiful large windows and another one for the friendly service. But the food alone, one star ....
If you go a bit further on the menu then u will find the most popular and common Vietnam food which the the taste is real correct and the way very delicious like what u expect from Vietnam. The first part of the menu nothing special from other German like Asian imbiss. As an Asian, I have to say Asian ibiss food has not much to do with real Asian food. Like a chinese chief from Beijing might not know how to cook spicy chinese food from Sichuan properly. So if u ever go to miss Saigon, take the pho and Bon! Bo in Vietnam means beef. My favorite is always Bon Bo or pho Bo! Try and you will never regret! Comment from a real foody
We had dinner here and were not disappointed. Lovely decor, good service, food came quickly and was very tasty. The vermicelli noodle salad with spring rolls in particular was very good - spring rolls were home made and above average quality and good amount of vegetables. Can be hard to finfd good Asian food in Germany i understand, but this is a hidden gem and was worth our short walk from the old city.
Great food and service. More than fair prices! Would definitely recommend. Also several beer choices. Always a pleasure to eat here.
