Mister Zen - Table reservation

I have been a regular customer at Mr Zen since it first opened at The Block, mainly for coffee and muffins, and other pastries. About 3 weeks ago, the pastries, as served were not fresh. I commented to staff and just accepted it might have been a bad day. No one explained they were a day old or possibly even older. A few days ago, I visited with the same person. I asked the young lady taking orders whether the muffins were fresh that morning. She said she was new there but checked with the person behind the counter. She then came back and said that they were made elsewhere the previous day!! I asked for the manager but was told they don't have one at the moment. It appeared that there was no...

Express lunch took 30 minutes to arrive , ordered the special with Green salad , no green salad arrived . Very unattentive staff . Express lunch included a drink coffee , wine )no frink was offered to us . Very poor , we work down at the hospital , we won’t be back .

I really loved the coffee, and the smashed avo was awesome. Service was a bit iffy though, hard to tell if our waiter was super dry or actually just rude. Free wifi available too

This is a nice space: the staff sure are friendly and the food is real quality. I've been there often-and will return soon!
