My partner and I popped into Moda last night, a cold, wet Melbourne one. Moda seems to be a bit away from all the other restaurants in Seddon and somehow we've managed to miss going. What a mistake that has been! When we arrived, we were greeted by the chef Luca and we were made to feel very welcome. We were seated and then we met Draga who served us throughout the evening. We ordered 3 courses which is not usually what we do on a weeknight, but we discovered some amazing food! For entree, I ordered the calamari and Stephen ordered the scallops. He said they were cooked perfectly and the (pea?) purée was delicious. The calamari was great with a beautiful aioli and a green salad with a dressi...
The service here is always with a smile! and nothing is too much trouble. You cannot fault the food, asked to have sides changed, or something different this is not a problem! The pork-belly was just amazing the menu is not large but has some interesting things and is quite varied, also has a nice selection of wines. Definitely somewhere we go back to again and again!
I have been to Moda several times in the past few months. The food has always been great; so far, l am eating my way through the menu, - a favourite are the muscles in napoli sauce. I am yet to try dessert as l have always ended up full after eating an entree and main.I have always found Luca & Draga to be welcoming and happy to chat..
We dined Sunday lunch and were very satisfied. Service from Luca was excellent and the food delicious. Warning, bring your appetites. Starters are excellent - pork belly very good. Pasta is all made fresh in store and is perfect. Excellent wines on offer and all complimented by friendly and knowledgeable service.

We shared entrees, had the white bait, grilled mozzarella and the scallops. Absolutely delicious. For mains we had the steak, the mussels and the gnocchi. All fantastic. It was friendly, attentive but discreet service. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and not noisy. A great night.
Shared several small plates to start, all very nice with the stuffed zucchini flowers a highlight. General consensus on the mains was that good but not amazing, however, prices were about on par with local pubs but food is a level above and so is good value.
My husband and I love this place. Beautiful, authentic, Italian pasta and this time I had the best veal scollopine ive ever had in my life & ive eaten many. We will be back time and time again. ????
