I'm not a vegan, but Modern Shaman might just change that. I tried the nachos and they were incredible—I'll definitely be ordering them again! My daughter opted for the Alchemy Salad, which was equally fantastic. For an appetizer, we had the seasoned fried chickpeas, which were warm, crispy, and absolutely delicious. Since I live nearby, this is a snack I'd happily grab regularly—I actually prefer it over popcorn! Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food arrived quickly after ordering. It was a quiet Sunday evening, so the place wasn’t busy at all. This spot is definitely worth trying at least once!
The menu offered an amazing variety of choices! I was at an event where there were no vegan options available, so I opened Happy Cow and discovered this restaurant on the list. The name caught my eye, and I was really impressed by the menu. I can't wait to visit this place on my next trip! I ordered the jackfruit nachos and the Po' Boy sandwich. Although my profile might suggest that I'm a pizza lover, I have to say that the other dishes were fantastic! You definitely need to check this place out. As a devoted carnivore, I wasn't sure what to expect when I visited this restaurant to support my vegan cousin. To my surprise, I was incredibly impressed with my dining experience! The jackfruit nachos were fantastic, and I also enjoyed a pomegranate mimosa, which paired perfectly with the chocolate brownie I ordered for dessert. I will definitely be returning, as this experience has opened my eyes to the wonderful vegan options available.
I can't recommend this restaurant enough! I'm completely in love with their corndogs. Having grown up in the '70s, I've really missed them for so long. The last time I had one was in the '80s, so it's been a 30-year drought! They're absolutely amazing, and I’m actually enjoying one as I write this review. Everything about this place is fantastic, but I really have to give a special mention to the corndogs—they're that delicious!

Get the Spirit Animal! This huge burger comes with bacon AND mac-n-cheese! It’s my favorite. The No Clucks Given is also tasty- a burger take on mashed potatoes, chicken, and gravy. The salads are tasty, and the desserts never disappoint. The staff are always friendly. Weekends they tend to get busy so if you want to eat right away, make a reservation to stave off the Hanger. Fun fact: the owners own The 6740 pub next door.
The flavors were certainly enjoyable, I'll give credit for that. However, there was a live bug on the tacos in the photo. I requested a remake, but was still charged the full price. The service could be improved, and overall, I felt it was somewhat overpriced.
Really delicious vegan food, lovely ambience inside, and a nice outdoor patio in the heart of uptown Whittier. I come here every time I visit Whittier and always enjoy my food and experience. One of Whittier’s uptown gems.

Great place to go on a date. The vibe is dim lights with candle light on the tables. The food is presented artistically and it tastes great !
