I use to live down the street , for few yrs. and worked in Arcadia for about 9 yrs. too , but never ever knew it was there , tho i drove by it , but becuz it was kind of hidden in the corner , i never checked it out to see what it was , wish i would have back between 1993 to 2002 !!!! Oldest of the old school with a small menu and chicken pot pie as their specialty. They were out of beef PP but I had the yummy noodles and chicken. Chicken was good and noodles was what I think is down south style, chopped noodles. Need some S&P bit a yummy dinner with whipped mashed and delicious carrots. Dinner included salad and dessert which is as old school as it gets. Great place for a no frills meal. Lots of to go orders and uncooked pies available. When you walk in, you will instantly feel like you step back in time, before cell phones, before internet. The food is perfect, diner classics I could eat everyday, and the nicest staff. The world moves too fast, this place decided to stop and rest for a while. Kid-friendliness: Our baby was very happy in his highchair, staff was very kind towards him.
Very friendly atmosphere. Good vibes. Great food. A hidden gem in Arcadia. Rhubarb pie, Chicken, beef pot pies are awesome. Good old fashion feel good home kitchen food. If you ever feel down and lonely come down here and grab some grub; it'll make you feelbetter and reconsider your current life goals and commitments.
My friend introduced the chicken pies to me. I got two for each kind. I kept 3 for frozen and baked 3 the next day with air fryer. I would say this is the best American food ever! So Yummy! My friend called it American comfort food.
