Usually really like this place. Their food is very good. Today for Cinco de Mayo, boyfriend and I decided to come for dinner. Understandably, they had a special menu for the day. But this menu was absolutely terrible. Every single thing on it was inflated by $5. To make matters worse, they cut the portions on some of the items too. If that isn’t bad enough, the only tacos they offered were Tex mex (who serves ground beef tacos on a Mexican holiday? , veggie, or shrimp. No birria, carne asada traditional street tacos with onion and cilantro. Who is going to pay $18 for two ground beef tacos with sour cream, that don’t even come with rice and beans? Disappointing!
We set outside which was a nice patio area. Since it was cinco de mayo when we went they had live music in the afternoon. Waiter was super friendly and even told us a cinco de mayo (our request). So staff has a great sense of humor.I got the Mexican Cobb salad with chicken and it was well worth the price for a salad size wise. I liked it for the most part but the beans felt a little hard. We also got a burrito and fried ice cream. I also got the pomegranate margarita. It was yummy!Inside was ok but this was definitely a restaurant I’d want to sit outdoors with nice weather. Parking is free.
I really wish this restaurant could resolve the staffing issues. Every time we go to this restaurant something is wrong with our order. Management is well aware of the issues, at least so they've told us, but the issues are never corrected. The food is delicious when correct, but the constant issues prevent us from wanting to return anytime soon

Overall, it was not a good experience, and we won't be going back. The food tasted like it was from pre-packaged grocery items that you microwave at home. The service was average at best.
We've only ordered takeout from this restaurant so far, but we hope to visit in person soon. Each time we've ordered, the food has been outstanding, regardless of what we've chosen.
Love their chimichangas! I've been going jere for years and have yet to be disappointed. Even on their busy nights, they haven't missed a beat.
