The place is really nicely decoracted and pretty and it was clean except for the flies that were flying around our table and the dead flies stuck to the windows. I wouldn't go back, the food was not good. My sister and I ordered enchiladas suizas which were not enchiladas suizas. They were basically entomatadas in a green sauce, the same sauce they give you with chips. Which is fine except the sauce for enchiladas suizas is supposed to have crema, heavy cream or cream cheese added to the tomatillo sauce this one did not, and the shredded cheese was not melted. The rice was also bad. My mom ordered a milanesa de carne and it was not enjoyable whatsoever. It had a heavy taste of old frying oil...
The food is usually always delicious. It always comes with a free side of charro beans and chips. They have Aguas frescas lemonade, Jamaica, melon, and pineapple, and then regular cokes, sprites, Dr. Pepper. They serve good Mexican food and spicy salsas green and red. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. As of right now everything starting from their migas and eggs, chilaquiles, pancakes, oatmeal, and breakfast tacos, to milanesas empanizadas, sincronizadas, flautas, sopes, tacos de fajita y bistec and their hamburguesa have all been delicious. I used to visit a restaurant in Conway many years ago, but I noticed it had closed down. I eventually found its new location on Google Maps, so I called to confirm that they still serve molleja tortas—my favorite dish. I couldn't stop thinking about how delicious they were, so I decided to go to the new place and ordered the molleja torta with refried beans. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations, and I don’t think I’ll eat there again. I’d rather make it at home. Since we were in the area and needed a meal, we ended up staying, but I was disappointed.
The food was delicious, but they really need to address the issue with flies. I counted at least ten buzzing around our table, and I can only imagine how many there must be in the kitchen. It might be a good idea for them to invest in some effective fly fans at each entrance to help keep them out. Book a table now
Stopped in for lunch at about 11:30 am. It was pretty packed. Staff took our order in a reasonable amount of time. Our food was prepared fresh and was brought to our table in a timely manner. I will recommend this place for lunch of you're looking for authentic Mexican Cuisine.
Great food, great prices. During winter stay in Mission, my church gang of 15-20, always enjoyed ocassionally eating here after church services on sundays. It was right on the top of our list of places to frequent.
