What a cute, small, japanese sushi place in the heart of Cologne. Be sure to book a table, especially during the WE's. This sushi restaurant is really small and closes quite early as well on a Saturday! However it's definitely worth a visit...if you love tasty traditional sushis and want to feel like you were eating them in Japan for a brief moment. Staff are real japanese they even write your order in Japanese!, very friendly, professional and serviceminded as in Japan! The menu offers a lot and at fair prices. Passed by Koln with my old child who wanted sushi udon for lunch. The shop was full when we went. The server told us to wait for awhile. After waiting outside under the sun, another German lady came. The server came out... kindly reminded the lady to come back later. Then she turned to us ask if we'd come later. ?! Why don't tell us at the beginning that the lunch hour is fully booked? Then the server asked if we want any takeaways? After we ordered, she said they have no paper cups bowls. Of many Japanese cities me my child went Tokyo, Kobe, Osaka…, we never encountered any receptions like this, very polite, yet very RUDE
This is one of the best places in Cologne for Sushi and Japanese cuisine. Great selection of fish, super fresh, tasty rolls and proper slices of sashimi. Lots of selection on the menu, a bit more traditional, e.g. rather the classic rolls combination, no fusion...or rolls with mango, which is perfectly fine. The only small downside is the ambience, the interior design is not reflecting the amazing food experience, it has rather a canteen experience. A makeover is in dire need. Then it would be just the best place
I was in Cologne for business and went into this small, apparently insignificant restaurant. The ambience is very low profile but the quality of the food compensates and is overwhelming. I choosed a menu Eur with a miso soup, some sushi I do not...remember how many pieces, a choice of different sashimi but they brought different fishes and green tea ice cream. I was really satisfied of the food and the service. When back in Cologne, I won't miss to go there again

visited here for a quick dinner. friendly staff, quickly sitting and decided to order cure menu for ease. authentic Japanese food they choose from the selection menu a selection of raw dishes a selection of cooked dishes a selection of sushi dishes and. a dessert excellent value! highly recommended if they want something authentic yet affordable.
Really small portions for the price. The salmon with side salad is priced around euros so basically u pay euro for a piece of salmon. Sides were nice but also small. Service was mediocre ordered a beer and it never came despite...the restaurant being half empty at that time. The food was tasty nonetheless and the soups great
Killer sushi, amazing entrees, tiny, tiny place. Get a reservation early! We walked km to get here, and it was well worth it. I've been in Germany for years, and this is the ONLY place that I've gone to that was authentic
I've tried Momotaro during my last trip in Cologne. It's a really small restaurant, very cozy, lovely place for a couple. It's a real japanese restaurant, different from sushi bars you can find in malls
