Edit: I usually give 5 stars for local business that is satisfactory. And I have to dock this down to 4 stars because the service has really gone down in quality. There have been a few more Bo Ne (sizzling steak) around Little Saigon but my family keeps coming back here simply because it's the most consistent. The steak quality itself is really just OK, but for the price it's good enough for me. What I'm trying to say is that if you want authentic Bo Ne, this is the OG spot to go to. But an unknown detail is that Pho here is really good too so try that for your 2nd trip here.
Me wifey came here on a whim. We actually wanted to try the Taiwanese Hot Pot restaurant next door, however had an emergency shut down so we decided try Mon Ami Café. Since it's our first time here we decided to go with their Pho. I got their Pho withAustralian Kobe beef, brisket, tendon, and tripe. My wifey got their brisket Pho. We enjoyed their food, it was authentic inflavor and prices were good. We saw a lot of customers ordering their sizzling plates and will come back and order that and afew other items in their menu. Place was clean customer service was good.
The service was nice. But the food was lacking and not the best quality. I got the Bo Ne Sot Toi. They first serve you a mini salad. It was good, until I saw dead bugs on the lettuce and it was not as fresh. Then you get banh mi as well for your Bo Ne. The banh mi was alright however the steak was tough. Like it looked depressing and it was so hard to cut it with a knife. Overall not coming back.
Long overdue review... been coming here for years. Best place for bo ne and ha noi style pho. The ladies here are so sweet as well. Restaurants in California are just now opened at 100% capacity after 15 months but they are not staffed at 100%. Please bekind and patient.

Wow! Utterly impressed with the food and drinks. And the service. Amazing experience! Love that they have a variety of rose bushes right outside their door. The bo ne was super tasty! We had the mushroom and the peppered.
Delicious food, especially the Bo Ne. Definitely a go-to place for Bo Ne a Vietnamese style Beef Steak). Pho is also good. Order a glass of ice tea, not ice water if you don?t want a Costco-bottle water.

Very good Vietnamese style steak. My family and friend all love to visit this place. Nice out door dining during covid period.
Best Bo Ne in OC. The sauce is good. Price is quite high compared to other store. Restaurant is clean and nice!
