The front of the house was totally disorganized. Our server was doing the best he could with his workload being half the restaurant. The owner was walking around oblivious to the patrons trying to catch her eye for help. When I finally stopped another woman working there asking questions about dessert she had no clue. Would I go back? Never. Was the food good? Absolutely. I think the young family who took the restaurant over from their retired parents need to keep their eye on their customers and stop walking around like we should be grateful we are allowed into their restaurant. And the gelato was so cold the flavour could not be determined, my partner’s gelato was filled with ice crystals....
I’m happy to have dined at an Italian restaurant which has certificate of authenticity by government of Italy ??! I ordered Gnocchi Al Tartufo but Gnocchi ran out so I got it substituted with Capellini. Then had a tiramisu. Finally tried a cappuccino with amaretto and topped it all off with a pistachio gelato. Cappuccino, gelato, wines were awesome, service was wonderful, ambience was spectacular (I sat outside, Al-fresco)!!! However the pasta dish and tiramisu were just okay, because the taste was bland! I can't say enough about Mona Lisa restaurant. I am Italian and if I'm gonna have anything other than home-cooked meals, I'm gonna go to Mona Lisa. An absolute favourite of mine in the city. The ambience, the food, the staff everything about this space makes me want to go back again and again. Recently renovated down to their Cantina, so it feels cozy and like you're getting real Italian home cooking. A full recommendation to anyone and everyone.
I haven't been here in years....The pizza was exceptional...Sat on the patio..it was a perfect evening..Mona Lisa is on my list to visit more often...Well worth the trip...?????
Went in for a later dinner. Waited for service, got none so we went to another restaurant. Felt like we were a burden.Food was great last time I have eaten here.
Good Italian and known for the pizza. We had the seafood appetizer and it was fantastic. Service was slow which prevents a higher rating but good was delicious
