Received one of two meals in a reasonable amount of time, a fried chicken sandwich which looked/ tasted like something out of a grocery store freezer aisle, same with the fries. An hour after placing our order, when the first meal had been eaten and waited a while after, we had to go ask to check on the second meal. They said they lost the ticket and had to remake it. **What I Liked:** The beer selection is outstanding, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is welcoming. There’s ample seating, the pizza is excellent, and they have dog-friendly outdoor options.
**What I Didn't Like:** Unfortunately, the rest of the menu doesn't quite live up to expectations. While the pizza is fantastic, a small pizza is $20, cheese sticks cost $12, and a burger is $14 but seems more like a slider. I get that prices have gone up, but the quality doesn’t justify the cost. I’m really disappointed with our visit to Montana Tap House. Their website said they close at 10, so after a long day of traveling, we thought we had plenty of time to order food. However, the kitchen closes an hour earlier than the bar. I had to rush our order, and the server seemed unhappy about it. I understand they were busy, but it was a weekend in mid-August—shouldn’t they be prepared for that? I was really frustrated because I wanted to order pizza on Sunday night to enjoy while watching the Cowboys game. However, their website indicated that they were closed. When I went to Alpine to pick up some food for dinner, I saw that they were clearly open. They need to update their website! When I tried to place an order online, it said I could only pick up tomorrow at 10 o'clock because they were closed. This is definitely not acceptable.
It appeared that everyone was eager to leave, as chairs were being stacked by 9:20 PM, making us feel quite uneasy. The staff didn't seem very friendly, and the food was merely average. To be honest, we would have been better off choosing fast food. Having spent half my life working in the restaurant industry in a tourist town, I understand the challenges involved, but this place simply did not leave a positive impression on us.
This is a fantastic spot to unwind with drinks and a meal after a long day in the park. The atmosphere is casual, and they offer a great selection of beers, along with plenty of options for those who don't drink. We enjoyed wings, burgers, and pizzas, and everyone loved their meal. The staff was friendly and provided prompt service. I would definitely recommend this place!

Excellent bar in Montana! They have a vast selection of beers to choose from. The atmosphere is lively and very family-friendly.
