Monty's On The Square

my friends and I stumbled over monty’s trying to find a really good place to eat our last day in nola. we almost went, but I'm glad we stayed. monty will not be disappointed at all. we have ordered breakfast, brunch and dinner so we can have a lot. I don't even like to grotte, but the big ones here are amazing. the pancake with boiled to perfection, red bean and rice were phenomenal the hew was fried big just a little more seasoned, but nothing hot sauce could not cure lol. and the seafood gumbo is one of the best so far I have eaten in nol. they also do not skip to the portion sizes. they will definitely get fat, full and happy here!

this place is fabulous! we had breakfast there every morning! the pancakes are amazing and the French toast! Unfortunately, our waiter seemed to hate his job and obviously we were an inconvenience for him. We found it strange every other day the food and service were over star quality. but with this waiter seemed the whole experience from the food to the service negative stars quality. but like all restaurants, they cannot allow a bad legacy and a waiter ruin it. we will always return when we come to new orleans, we will only ask not to have him with a waiter.

I had time to kill after I arrived from the airport. that was the perfect stop. I have a salted caramel coffee, french 75, 1 sweet cream pancake (the bartender has suggested only 1 since they are big and I am so glad I have taken the advice - I couldn't even finish it). over the street is the caffe du monde, with a loud bubble band. this place has open windows on a corner of the jackson square. a really good mood and the staff are super friendly!
