I cannot say enough positive things about how fantastic Monty's is. My family arrived around noon on a Saturday, right at the time the Mardi Gras crowds are the worst. The host (who is amazing, by the way), told us it would be a 45 minute wait. I was a little frustrated from a previous restaurant waitlist that we ended up walking away from, so the host and I shared a laugh about it and he told me he would call us when a table was up. After 30 minutes or so, we got a table. Our waiter was V, a really kind and sweet young man who was a very attentive and personable. He stated that he had only been working at Monty's or about 6 months, but you'd never know it with the way he took care of us. Ou...
I had time to kill after I arrived from the airport. that was the perfect stop. I have a salted caramel coffee, french 75, 1 sweet cream pancake (the bartender has suggested only 1 since they are big and I am so glad I have taken the advice - I couldn't even finish it). over the street is the caffe du monde, with a loud bubble band. this place has open windows on a corner of the jackson square. a really good mood and the staff are super friendly!
because we don't know that they needed their with a pot card to come in most restaurants of new orleans, we stumbled on monty on the square. They didn't need the card they don't want to turn away the people's money, what a great experience we started with the **** mary. I had French toast and my man had an omelette of any kind. they were very crowded that it was the morning of the silvester 21 but we sat fast.
We enjoyed a delicious brunch in the French Quarter! Our meal included fried green tomatoes, a breakfast po'boy, Cajun chicken and pancakes, crab cakes Benedict, and crab cakes and gravy, all accompanied by a pitcher of mimosas. Dustin was fantastic! I always make a point to try biscuits and gravy whenever I visit a new town, and these were incredible. The bacon was cooked perfectly too! I ordered the Cajun Trio and absolutely loved it. For drinks, I had a Bloody Mary and Louisiana Lemonade, both were delicious!
Monty?s was wonderful. The manager Brittany was so kind and sweet. She came over and talked with us for a few minutes which was great! Our waitress Tammy was also great! The food came out fast and taste really good! Definitely a good place to dine in New Orleans
Delicious food! Had the Crab Cake Benedict the Fried Green Tomatoes. The food was flavorful perfectly cooked! My server, Tammy, was the sweetest! The music that they play is pretty good too : I?ll definitely be back next time I visit NOLA ????
