full disclosure: I really don't care to live in the old town and love it as free pets that would occasionally come out to say hi. we called squiggles. but when this weed was migrated from the kitchen, he caused a massive excitement among the mozens that the human obviously also stressed. The food is consistently served cold and not fresh. The vegetable lasagne was greasy, the sausages were dry and overcooked, and the eggs were unappetizing. I've had to send my food back multiple times. Despite the high prices, the wait for food to arrive at the table is lengthy, likely due to understaffing. The management at Morrisons needs to hire more staff to efficiently run their large cafe. The current employees are clearly overworked. The menu is also becoming too expensive compared to other dining options like Wetherspoons, which offer higher-quality food for similar prices. This store is fairly local to me and from time to time it's convenient to go in for some food. Every time I regret it. The person who takes the order is expected to deliver food so you have large periods when you can't get served at the till point. I have heard of a shoestring but this is stretching it too far. Drinks are invariably cold and so is the food. We are not sure what the difference is between the portion sizes with the exception of the price. A place in need of some serious management and improvement.
Yesterday, we went to a restaurant and were surprised to find that they didn't have knives, forks, teaspoons, napkins, or sugar available. We had to ask to speak to the manager just to get some sugar for our tea, only to be told that they had run out and couldn't take any from the shop floor. It was unbelievable. After causing a commotion, we were finally able to get some sugar. This same issue had occurred the week before as well.

I was in the Cafe yesterday, 21-08-2018, for lunch. I wanted something that was healthy so asked for a Chicken Salad, Sorry, No Chicken Salad , can I have a Prawn Salad then? Sorry No Prawn Salad what type of salad do you have? We Have Side Salad! OK I 'll have vegetable Soup, Sorry We Don 't Have Vegetable Soup ........... Do you want anything else ? Everything I asked for was on the Menu but they never had it available.
I ordered a baked potato and asked for it to be served hot, but unfortunately it arrived lukewarm at best. I didn't have the opportunity to complain since feedback is not addressed at this restaurant. It seems like there is a consistent staffing shortage, so the food may be sitting out for a while before being served.
morrisons cafe on pilton avenue is a handy local supermarket/cafe serving cheap food the food is either good or served lukewarm depends whos in the kitchen i suppose when they get it right you can have a full breakfast for a very low price.
