I made reservations while visiting St. Louis for my son, and I. I explained it was his 10th birthday birthday, and the hostess was so sweet and had special menus printed saying happy birthday. The restaurant was pretty empty. We did not take long to order, but sat for about 5 to 10 minutes without even being greeted by our server. We ordered quickly, drinks, soup, and decided on splitting a steak and asparagus. We’ve eventually got water at the table then my soup, then bread for the table. There was about 15 or 20 minutes between getting our appetizers to getting an 8 ounce fillet. That was not even warm by the time we got it and the asparagus was basically mush. The service was very slow and it felt like the staff didn't care much about our dining experience. Between four people, we spent over $350, including tips, so I expected better service. This was my third visit, and it has only gotten worse each time. I won’t be returning. It’s disappointing to say the least.

The lobster ravioli was delicious, but the sea bass was overcooked and needed to be sent back. The customer service was excellent; both the waitress and the manager were friendly and made sure to address all our concerns. However, the wait time was a bit too long for my liking. I'll give this restaurant another chance at a different time, even though it was only 7:45 PM. I felt that the cooks could have done better.
I've been to several Morton's throughout the US. This one scored the lowest. Hoping management can fix the issues in the kitchen. Lamb was good, but my wife chicken was horrible (even after two tries). She finally gave up and simply order a dessert. The restaurant offers a wonderful experience, as long as you can overlook the smell of cigarette smoke.
