While the staff were friendly, they did not provide the same level of service as in the past. The food was disappointing overall, with the ranch dressing being bland and unappetizing. The menu lacked a traditional Mac and cheese side dish, offering instead a tomato-based pasta with cheese that was not to our liking. The chicken was cooked well but lacked flavor, the ribs were overcooked and dry, the dumplings tasted bland and seemed to be lacking in seasoning, the rolls were store-bought and not even warmed or served with butter, the potato wedges were...
This hidden gem is a large restaurant offering delicious and affordable food. I was welcomed with friendly and quick service, making it easy to choose from the extensive menu. I ordered the chicken with Mac and cheese as a side, paired with sweet tea, and it was delicious. Another standout side was the Brunswick stew, which tasted authentic to South Carolina. I wish the chicken had more flavor and the portions were larger because I wanted more. The seating area is small but cozy, creating a great atmosphere for enjoying a meal with all kinds of people. Overall, this place is fantastic for a satisfying dining experience.
We've loved this place for years. 8.8.22? The workers are black today. He told us to move and wait 8 minutes. 20 minutes later I'm going in to ask where our food is. Lady in the window forget to submit our order. She sat outside and took a break! The photo shows she goes back to the restaurant. TERRIBLE SERVICE. OWNER needs new EMPLOYE!!! We are very disappointed as we have already paid for food and have not been served more than 30 minutes later.
Me and my travel party stopped for gas and could smell the deliciousness from the gas pump. We had to try. We stopped over and tried some of the chicken and wedges and it was some of the best chicken I've had from a fast food spot. My complements to the chef/cook. We were very pleased with our meal. So much I wanted to make sure I wrote a review telling them so. Thanks Mountain Fried Chicken for a great experience.
