We dined at the end of March, just before the racing season, and the restaurant was quite empty—just us and a few other guests. We didn't have high expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and service. The only downside was the decor, which resembled that of a generic chain hotel, making it feel dull and uninspiring. Once we settled in and adjusted to the mood-numbing atmosphere typical of conference hotels, we began to worry about what was to come. However, our server turned out to be prompt, knowledgeable, and attentive, making everything run smoothly. The real highlight, though, was the food. Perhaps our low expectations played a role, but the meal far exceeded...
The service was extremely slow; it took ages for our food to arrive, and the table next to us left without receiving their meal. The staff kept offering excuses, claiming our food would be ready in a few minutes. The serving staff was not attentive at all and didn’t check on us or apologize for the delay.
When I raised concerns, I noticed the hostess with dark hair pulling the server aside in the hallway, and they seemed to be talking negatively about the situation. I’m baffled as to how they can charge $18 for a fish fry—similar to what many small, local spots offer—and serve pre-breaded, frozen fish. It’s truly disappointing.
Waitress was not very attentive and the food lacked a lot to be desired. Had haddock was light breading they fried the fish out of the fish, hardly no meat at all to fried to get it off the breading. For $18 I had mashed potatoes and I think it was suppose to be broccoli very high priced menu food did not warrant the prices. We were sitting there and she was cleaning off the whole table so I believe we were being told we had been there long enough.
Best to not expect a lot, asked about wine selection was told nothing fancy just red or white waitress had no knowledge of drinks or selections just refered to everything as alcohol I ordered a Ceasar salad and got romain with cheese, croutons and Italian dressing. The rest of the food was OK, meatballs tasteless, do not waste your time go to Wendy's. Our waitress was the worst, not customer friendly. Service: Dine in

Food was really good and that's why I give 4 stars. Service was fine. Atmosphere the same, only so much you can do off the hallway of a slot hall and hotel. One of the best fried fish meals I've had.
