the lady of the house received us kindly. the room was beautiful. but otherwise everything was medium. Well, I shouldn't be too critical, because it wasn't expensive either.Despite that, dinner was just so lala. my sweet-assed was too much and some pieces weren't going through. what it is that they had been standing around in a pan for a long time. For the breakfast I had asked for the day before because of my stomach-satisfaction to get something without carbohydrates. what did I get? a soup spoon of top and hard muesli. no milk or fruit juice. While biking the Danube River, we were exhausted and decided to end our day and had no reservation. We walked in and got a room/breakfast for a good price with view of Danube River from the room. Also, the dinner was very good and affordable. They held our bikes and bags in their garage the next day while we visited the memorial, which is only about a 25-30 min walk
We were driving through Mauthausen at noon and stopped at Muhlviertlerhof for lunch. There were several people sitting outside but we got a table inside. The menu was in several languages. The female server was speaking German but she was very nice and helped us...More
quite centrally located near the donau is the restaurant "mühlviertler hof." there is a terrace in front of donau and in the inner but also a quite appealing restaurant. the food offer is simple but tasty.
