We asked if, since a refund wasn’t possible, they could at least speed up our simple order of two breakfast burritos and have them ready in about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, our request was denied. As a result, I’m out $25. Customer service is crucial—working in marketing, I know that businesses that empower their staff to resolve issues thrive, while those that don’t often struggle. This problem could have been easily resolved. Good problem-solving is what sets successful businesses apart and helps them earn five-star reviews.

Customer service is terrible here, especially in the morning. We went on a Monday (when school was off) to do some work and the lady cashier was walking and grunting as we were standing there. Didn't even know she was the cashier. Then told my colleague that if he was looking for matcha (which they didn't have) to walk down three blocks to another cafe. I understand that customers can be rude but we were polite. I think she assumed we were some high school kids or something, because we are young presenting but we are teachers. My colleague ordered a chocolate croissant and she gave him a regular croissant. Didn't even bother to tell her because she already seemed bothered by our presence. Sh...
I absolutely love Mugs in both locations however, something is definitely going on with staffing. I came in for my afternoon 20oz ice Latte my total was $6.09 as it always is. I hand her a twenty then a quarter all within 2 seconds, “I’ve already processed”. I didn’t say that’s $14.16 back. I just let it go, if you can’t do basic math, please don’t be behind a counter handling money all day especially in the Heights. Latte was fabulous as always but staff is definitely an issue.
Great food every time I go. However, the last 4-5 months least, you're not able to call anymore and make an order or get anyone on the phone. And they also have certain hours their kitchen is open so it would be nice for them to post their kitchen hours somewhere. I hate to make the drive all the way down there thinking I can have them for lunch when in reality, the kitchen is closed.

The complaints of the service issues the last couple months are true. The new owners of this and mugs argenta, as well as mylo, basically got rid of all the good staff and are now barely scraping by with their current team. To the point of having to host job fairs every other week. Go somewhere better than here, like the grind or blackberry, hell even kawaii boba, but avoid this.
If you value friendly service and prompt meals, this isn’t the spot for you. While we like to support local businesses, the service here is consistently disappointing. The staff often seem unhappy, and our food rarely arrives on time. We typically wait an extra 20 to 30 minutes.
Delicious. They were out of potatoes so they gave me a double order of fruit which I enjoyed! And let's face it, it was much healthier. It took a little longer than expected to get my order and they insisted on refunding me even when I told them I was not unhappy.
Place can be hit or miss. Food is like 7 out of 10 depending on what you get but the cashier are usually nice. They also kinda slow in the kitchen but Thats probably hit or miss also. Food rating only comparing places in Arkansas.

I had an excellent experience at Mugs Cafe! The staff were both professional and welcoming, truly going the extra mile to make sure we were fully satisfied. The coffee was outstanding and tasty, all enjoyed in a pristine setting.
