Dined on the patio. Server was very friendly but he was also serving as the cashier in the wine shop, so a bit distracted. We finished our salads and set the empty plates at the edge of the table to be picked up. Those dirty plates sat there during our entire meal. Neither the runner or the server thought to take them away. I ordered the crab cake appetizer for dinner. These crab cakes did not seem homemade. They were perfectly formed discs with straight edges and the crabmeat was chopped up very finely, no lumps of meat. If I had to guess, these were frozen from a food supplier. Very disappointing experience. I can make better at home. And clear the dirty plates between courses.
We had a great experience at Murphy's on St. Patrick's Day with the specials we chose. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the lamb stew was very good. The salmon flatbread starter was a favorite at our table, and the crab cake appetizer was plentiful. Maybe smaller crab cakes with more crab would be better. Our server was attentive and fun, and our Pinot Noir wine pairings were all good choices. Murphy's is always a neighborhood favorite, and the Irish music made the evening special. Whenever I go to Atlanta to visit my daughter, we make sure to secure reservations at Murphy's. They never disappoint. The food is expertly prepared, the service is kind and prompt, and the atmosphere is fun. My daughter and I love always save room for dessert because it it Bonkers!
Overall the food was pretty good with the exception of the steak frites. The steak was tough not up to Murphy’s usual high standards. Also, there is an up charge if you use a credit card. Had we known we would have brought cash.

My friends were not happy with the portion size and size of the scallops at this restaurant. We had eaten at Seasons 52 last week and the scallop portion was much larger and very tasty!
