This review is only for the wang mandus as I haven't tried anything else. Really really good. I wasn't expecting much since I'm used to the great dumplings I've eaten in Korea when I lived there.. but these wang mandus exceeded my expectations!! They're not exactly the same style as those in Korea here, the dumpling skin is a more akin to those snow white Chinese flower buns, but it totallyyy works. I tried all three types (vegetable, meat, and kimchi) and the kimchi was my favorite. The side pickles (which are soy sauce based) were so good too. They pair very well with the dumplings. I will definitely be back for these dumplings to eat as a quick meal.. Gonna opt for these over getting the...

#1 (King steam dumpling with pork and vegetables) rated 7/10; these were quite large. #3 (Spicy steam roll dumpling with pork and shrimp) rated 5/10; it contained dry meat, and I couldn't find any shrimp. It lacked a strong flavor and was disappointing. #4 (Shaomai, small steam dumpling with pork and shrimp) received an 8/10; this dish was decent and came with vinegar and a mildly spicy powder sauce. #14 (Spicy beef soup with vegetables) had large glass noodles at the bottom, which I rated 7/10. While the prices are reasonable, I don’t think some dishes warrant their cost given the average quality. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but I probably won’t return as there isn’t any...

Anthony Bourdain was right about this Koreatown foodie palace…the KIMCHI and PORK DUMPLINGS were phenomenal very satisfying but still light. I promise they won’t weigh you down! And I had to try a noodle dish Nothing like a warm bowl of pork dumpling clear noodles to wash it all down and add more tasty to the party . The establishment treated me as a long time customer never making me feel out of place or unwanted which sometimes you feel when you walk into a new neighborhood. I’ve had this spot on my mind for months while in Chicago so glad I finally scratched that itch to annihilate the BEST DUMPLINGS IN LA. I would gladly fly into LA just for the dumplings alone

SOUTH KOREA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Wang Mandu is the first item on the menu, and likely the most popular choice. These dumplings are stuffed with pork and either leek or kimchi. Served on a plate of four generously sized dumplings, the experience of picking one up and figuring out how to dig in is delightful. The bun is both soft and dense, and be warned—it can fill you up quickly if you were planning to order more. Book a table now

This restaurant is like the Korean version of dim sum. They offer a variety of other fantastic traditional Korean dishes as well. The service is excellent, and there's plenty of parking available. If you're looking for delicious Korean food or dumplings, this is the place to be. By the way, I highly value Anthony Bourdain's recommendations.

This place was amazing!! The dumplings were so fresh and made to order and HUGE. We got a bunch of different options to try, and everything was amazing. I’m sensitive to spice, so the Kimchi Pork buns were a little too spicy for me, but the Vegetable Pork dumplings were to die for, and the Beef Dumplings in the soup were also fantastic!

Absolutely delicious! When in L.A. this place is a must!! Warning: The dumplings are HUGE!! At least we know for sure the veggies ones are (seen pictured). We ordered 2 servings, expecting them to be 'appetizer sized ', but just for husband and I, 1 order would have been plenty. Make sure to ask for the spicy sauce (reddish color).

I waited years to visit this place, and it was absolutely worth the wait. The dumplings here are the best I’ve ever tasted! The kimchi is outstanding, and the service is impeccable. I sincerely hope this restaurant stays open forever. Book a table now

Rest in peace, Anthony Bourdain. I enjoy honoring his memory by dining at the same fantastic restaurants he visited.
