Nana's Restaurant - Table reservation

We went there in the evening during the Thanksgiving long weekend with our out of state visitors. The food was very good as it had always been in the past. However, the service left a lot to be desired. For starters, we waited for about 15' -along about 5 to 7 other people, in the crowded front area until our table was ready, in spite of arriving exactly at our reserved time. Then, the waiter was nowhere to be seen for a while, and the bread server practically threw the pieces on our plates, even without asking for our choice. Once we ordered, half of the table's entrees came a few minutes later than the other half. Lastly, again the server disappeared prior to dessert and again prior to bri...

One of the best dining experiences I 've ever had! We found this place on a best of list our first night in Durham so glad we did! Ended up going back for a second time before our trip was over. The servers were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was presented beautifully, and tasted even better. The menu changes seasonally, but the cast iron chicken is apparently a year round staple. Hands down the best chicken I 've ever had. You MUST dine here if you 're in Durham.

my favorite restaurant in durham over many years. I don't think it's closed and it's open now! standard for food and service. exceptional and consistent fine eating. eating is the show, but they do everything well.

Love, love, love, this place. My favorite fine dining. The food is amazing and the presentation is mouth watering beautiful. Atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated. Valet parking.
