Service yesterday was quite sad so it is my assumption that they were understaffed. Told we could sit wherever, totally fine. A girl who I assume was a hostess would drop off waters then run away. It’s not like “ hey, just so you are aware we are under staffed, your server will get to you shortly sorry for any wait times” so like 10 minutes later we get a server we decided to order everything then because looking at the people across from us they were facing the same wait time. Food came before the drinks did, and the fries didn’t come with a condiment so we asked the hostess grabbed us one but like instead of just placing it on the table shoved it right into the fries.. thought it was weird...
Made reservations a month ago as we had friends coming into town. Was called a couple hours prior to our reservation and advised there was a private function and our reservation could be moved to a sister location or after the private event. We moved the reservation to the much later time and were seated right away. Service was horrible. Our first drink order took 30 mins and the second was no better. We ordered chips and guac three times but never got it. It was not busy at all since the private function ended at 9:30pm so it was very frustrating to have our guests have that as their Calgary experience.
First time eating at Nationals and I ordered the guac and chips and a tofu poke bowl. The guac and chips arrived 20min after the tofu bowl did. The tofu bowl arrived 30min after ordering and had someone's long hair wrapped and entagled around a few of the pieces of tofu. I sent it back and chose to leave as hygiene clearly is not a top priority at this restaurant (possibility of it only being the 17th Ave location. However, I'm not about to find out by going to another). Absolutely disgusting....
Great Craft Beer Selection. Great Patio. Great Service. The burger though.... off the chains! The Oysters were good for buck a shuck. Love the chowder. Wasn't overly busy for lunch on a Wednesday either. Great stop.

Always love this location! The staff are so friendly and service is always quick and seamless. They were willing to accommodate a very large group of us last minute for a work lunch which made our day so special.
Went for happy hour on the patio. Drinks on special were okay. Service was not the greatest. Ordered some food items and had they seem to forget about it until you ask an hour later. Wouldn't come back
Great service, amazing food and drinks recommend the smoked burger, tops ! Drinks were fabulous as was our server. We will come again
I just didn't like it here, the space was uncomfortableI like the community seating but i felt that it was a bit contrived here.
