"Excellent place to visit with lots of different walks and great views. Could do with more parking but spaces are a good size. Avoid the cafe unless you are very well off. Staff were not competent at all and asking for two sausage rolls, a tea and a coffee confused the hell out of them."

We live close by and can walk here. Usually, there's adequate parking, in neatly demarcated parking spaces. It's a gorgeous area for hikes, with easy flat walks as well as more challenging, hilly walks. After rain some paths are very muddy. The cafe is sweet with many dishes, cakes, sweets and drinks to choose from. Some seats also available outside, if inside is full. Clean bathrooms. We arrived at 3.15 one afternoon, the cafe closes at 4 pm. From 3 pm they only provide their food and drinks in take away containers, ie no pot for tea, plates etc. That was still a lovely break from a long hike. We visit often and will again. So we visited again in spring (April) and loved all the green blueb...

Good place to stop just off the A3. Lots of car parking spaces although you have to pay for parking £1.50 for an hour unless you are a member of the National Trust. The cafe had a food choices of sandwiches and cakes certainly can't complain about the cake portions! . Staff were friendly and helpful. There are about 8 tables inside but plenty of benches outside. Looks like a good place for a stroll with lots of good views although we just went to the cafe.

If you like walking about outside safe in the knowledge there is a cafe waiting for you at the car park, then this is the place for you. There are a few routes you can walk, the longest is a bit over 4km so it doesn't take a huge length of time to walk, but it does end with a pretty steep hill climb. It's a nice place to visit for a walk and even though it's popular you are generally by yourself once you are out on the trails.

Really nice place to come for a walk (with or without dogs). Byways for motor vehicles and paths for cyclists too. Can follow trails and sit on benches at different view points. There is a cafe, outdoor seating, and toilets which are clean and tidy. Parking paid at £3.00 for 2 hours. Highly recommend!!
